He was arrested Friday after New Canaan Police traveled to the Monmouth County, N.J., Sheriff's Office to pick him up. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
The investigation began Sept. 25, 2014, when officers were called to Walgreens on Pine Street for an investigation into possible credit card fraud during the purchase of gift cards, police said. Police said they were able to interview Johnson and that the fraudulent credit cards used had multiple victims stretching as far away as Colorado.
Police obtained an arrested warrant for Johnson and were able to execute it Friday.
